Junior development
Neil reported that the junior sessions in Rushden would restart on Sunday12th. February If any clubs had junior that were looking to play let them know.
Kettering had junior sessions running on Mondays and Sundays.

Karen Risk said that she had between 12-20 pupils turning up for volleyball sessions on a Monday afternoon after school. She was looking for assistance in finding regular opposition for the pupils. She asked if we would be able to arrange something along the line of Basketball where once a month tournaments were held a central venue and schools and teams could turn up and play.
This was to be investigated. Alex had concerns that the Kettering area schools may not travel to Northampton.

It was decided to try and set this up for September 2012. But hopefully pull something through earlier

Website – Alex asked if more photos could be put onto the website. Neil said this could be done but had asked clubs on many occasions to submit some.

Northants Sport- NVA development group

At the development meeting Alex updated on the work in schools, the growth of the Kettering club and the fact that they had just submitted their volley 123 application.
Steve Edwards discussed the beach event that was going to take part in Kettering town centre. 3 age groups were being invited and 4 teams for each category.
The County Schools Tournament finals were going to take place on Monday 27th February at KLV. Though this looked like being semi final as the Northampton area had arranged their own competition.

End of season tournament
Sunday the 13th May was not available at Lings. So 6th of May was suggested. Lings were to be contacted to see if the 20th was available and clubs would be asked which they would prefer.
Alternative suggestion was to take it outside some time in June.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Karen asked if any tournaments were going to be arranged to cash in on the Olympic banner.
