After just 12 months in the post, NVA Chairman Lee Barnett has arranged a deal virtually unheard of in the domestic volleyball leagues.
Lee said "It's an absolutely amazing deal which we're delighted to have pulled off.
"The agreement with Northants Online means a good portion of our costs will be met and the game will receive much more publicity throughout the year.
"The money we will save on trophies and promotion alone means that we are much more likely to achieve our goals of taking the sport into local schools. And this fabulous website is part of the sponsorship and promotion strategy for the NVA.
"Not only that, but having a sponsor means we may be able to receive matched funding from other sources that will make even more difference - we're really thrilled."
Lynne Moses, Director of Keywave Systems who publish Northants Online said "Lee approached us some time ago to see if we could include a Volleyball section on the Northants Online website which we were happy to accommodate. The site is all about Northamptonshire and what is going on here, and this is just one way in which the local community can get involved - by supplying information and content that others may be interested in.
" The sponsorship deal just evolved from those initial thoughts and we're really pleased to be able to help promote a sport which has such an enthusiastic following in the county."
